Simply Healthy

Almonds are one of the most nutrient-dense foods you can enjoy.

Consumers view almonds as the #1 nut for being healthy, best for weight management and the heart, and is energy rich and nutritious. Almonds keep people “satisfied” or fuller for longer due to their unique macronutrient profile of good fats, protein, and fiber.

Almonds are linked to healthy outcomes.

Evidence shows that high fiber intake, particularly soluble fiber, may help protect against several heart-related problems. With 4 grams of fiber in ever healthy handful, almonds can help manage blood sugar and reduce levels of bad cholesterol.

Monk Crunch

Select Harvest Almond Snacks has developed a unique product with some surprisingly healthy attributes. Monk Crunch is a lightly sweetened almond snack that uses no added sugar for its deliciously refreshing flavor.

Instead of sugar, we mix a blend of Monk Fruit extract plus erythritol, (a sugar alcohol common in everyday fruits), with vanilla, cinnamon or maple flavors, to lightly glaze our roasted almonds. This simple process results in a delightfully crunchy, satisfyingly sweet snack with all the goodness of almonds, but no added sugar.

This sweetener blend is 100% derived from plants, contains no sugar and contributes zero carbohydrates to Monk Crunch so it does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels.

Some Details:

Monk Fruit, also known as Lo Huan Go, is a small melon from China. The sweet component is extracted from the melon's juice and it is 125-250 times as sweet as sugar. A little bit goes a long way! Monk Fruit does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels 1

Erythritol is a natural sugar alcohol (despite the name it does not contain either alcohol or sugar!) commercially derived from corn. Erythritol does not raise blood sugar or insulin levels 2, 3
