Sesame Almond Toffee Bark

Ingredients

¾ Cup Select Harvest Sesame Glazed Almonds (Rough Chopped)
1 Cup Sugar
¼ Cup Water
4 TBS Softened Butter
2.5oz Bittersweet Chocolate (Finely Chopped)
½ TSP Vanilla Extract
Pinch of Salt
Directions
Combine sugar, water and butter in a pan and heat, stirring until sugar has melted.
Once sugar is melted, stop stirring and bring up to a boil. Cook until temperature of sugar comes to 325°F on a thermometer.
When temperature reaches 325°F, turn off heat and quickly stir in salt and vanilla extract.
Pour sugar mixture out onto a parchment lined baking sheet. Spread to desired thickness. Let sit for 5 minutes
Sprinkle finely chopped chocolate evenly over the toffee and let sit 3-5 minutes.
Spread chocolate across toffee evenly then top with sesame glazed almonds. Press the almonds down into the chocolate slightly to stick better.
Let the bark cool completely (3-4 hours) at room temperature and then break apart and serve.
Recipe Note
You will need a candy (or similar) heat-proof thermometer to monitor the temperature of the sugar mixture.
Keep in mind the bark will take 3-4 hours to cool!
